Could opening up a conversation about sex after birth be the first step towards healing?

Kimberly Johnson believes so and is on a mission to help women reconnect with their sexuality and heal themselves after giving birth.

Over nine years ago, Kimberly gave birth and was left with severe tearing in her pelvic floor, constant low back sacral pain, hemorrhoids, and searing pain during sex. Unable to get the support she needed, Kimberly set out on a journey towards healing herself, traveling all over world to study how other cultures approach birth and postpartum. The wisdom and tools that she brought back with her became the foundation for Magamama – the sum total of Kimberly’s international teaching + research, private conversations with legendary healers, and lived experience.

On today’s episode Kimberly shares her birth and postpartum story, common sex issues that can arise after birth and how we can begin to heal postpartum.
