Today is Sexagesima Sunday in the Tridentine Mass. The reading is from the Epistle of 2 Corinthians 11:19-33; 12:1-9.
The reading this Sunday speaks about the infirmities of St. Paul and how he gloried in Jesus Christ through his sufferings and what he saw.
In this lesson, it is discussed how we should be like St. Paul and rejoice in our infirmities, not in ourselves, but in Christ. “And he said to me: my grace is sufficient for thee: for power is made perfect in infirmity. Gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
