Vijf jaar geleden verscheen mijn boek over sextortion. In deze aflevering kijk ik terug. Wat is er in die vijf jaar veranderd? Wat heb ik geleerd over manipulatie, schaamte en machtsmisbruik? En waarom is dit onderwerp nog altijd actueel?
Sextortion gaat niet alleen over online chantage. Het gaat over psychologische beïnvloeding, intimidatie, zwaar grensoverschrijdend gedrag en over de impact die dat heeft op iemands leven.
In aflevering 130 verbind ik de inzichten uit mijn boek met wat ik nu zie in gesprekken over manipulatie en gaslighting. Ook verwijs ik naar aflevering 57 van de Mooie Mensen® Podcast, WNAAD – over Narcisme, waarin ik dieper inga op persoonlijkheidsstoornissen en manipulatief gedrag.

Five years ago, my book about sextortion was published. In this episode, I look back. What has changed in those five years? What have I learned about manipulation, shame and abuse of power? And why is this subject still relevant today?
Sextortion is not just about online blackmail. It involves psychological manipulation, intimidation, severe boundary violations and the impact this has on someone’s life.
In episode 130, I connect the insights from my book with what I now observe in conversations about manipulation and gaslighting. I also refer to episode 57 of the Mooie Mensen® Podcast, WNAAD – about Narcissism, in which I discuss personality disorders and manipulative behaviour in more depth.
