Sexual abuse is a popular response when people share experiences about "church hurt." Although it's regarded as one of the most heinous forms of crime, it's often protected. And unfortunately, the persons who commit this crime seem to receive more covering than the actual victim. This episode may be triggering, but it's past time to discuss the epidemic of denial about sexual abuse in the church.
