Today we have the privilege of hearing directly from Alice Ovando-Lopez, a licensed clinical social worker speak directly to sexual abuse and the impact it has in relationships. As a trauma counselor and specialist, Alice brings warmth, wisdom and knowledge that is crucial for us to not just hear but also learn. Alice speaks directly to survivor of sexual abuse and steps they can take to begin their healing journey, but also lovingly exhorts both the church and partners of survivors on how to best support them. Alice Ovando-Lopez is a wife, mother, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, small business owner, and a creative. She has her own private practice where she provides trauma-informed therapy from a Christ-centered perspective. She has been married for seven years and enjoys being at home with some warm tea and crafts as a creative outlet.
