I wanted to re-post this mixed compilation I came up with in 2002 which was a time where in NYC there were really exciting possibilities developing for "new" music and people were receptive to electronic dance music with a new attitude that was certainly post-rave but not-quite-calling itself "electro-CLASH". Electro was a sound from the late 70s, 80s and even 90s that I had liked and listened to but would never think of "playing it out". The sound was dated, and the beat was not hard or fast enough I thought.
