Evaluating Key SF Giants Players After 63 Games

The San Francisco Giants needed a spark—badly—as they risked losing their seventh straight game and potentially being swept by the D-backs. Heliot Ramos, in the midst of what's looking like it could be a legitimate breakout season, provided that spark. The Giants outfielder reached base all six times he came to the plate in the SF Giants' resounding 9-3 win.  The Giants needed a win like a fish needs water. They were slipping in the standings, dropping like flies, and playing an ugly brand of baseball. But Ramos and a team-wide offensive outburst finally got the Giants back on track. The San Francisco Giants bats finally showed up in the desert as they smash three home runs on their way to a 9-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
