At this point in the offseason, with spring training well underway and the regular season on the horizon, things have to be getting pretty uncomfortable for Blake Snell. He must remain on the San Francisco Giants' radar, and they legitimately could strike at any time. What kind of contract will Snell ultimately land? What number should make SF Giants fans feel like it's a wise investment? Will Snell's next deal be short- or long-term? Heliot Ramos continued to carry the San Francisco Giants offense as he accounted for all three of their RBI today. He also launched his 6th home run of the season. Cal Poly product Spencer Howard drew his first start in a San Francisco Giants uniform and delivered the goods, as he only surrendered one run in his outing. The San Francisco Giants have certainly had their ups and downs 63 games into the 2024 season. The Giants started off very slowly with the bats and struggled to even reach the .500 mark for much of the early part of the season.  Then, after weeks of struggling to play consistent baseball, the Giants went on a hot streak and pulled to two games over .500. The SF Giants immediately followed that with a six-game losing streak which pushed them back to four games under .500. Now 30-33, the season is still young but the Giants know they need to play better to make a playoff push.  Individual player performances after 63 games are examined. Evaluating Key SF Giants Players After 63 Games

The San Francisco Giants needed a spark—badly—as they risked losing their seventh straight game and potentially being swept by the D-backs. Heliot Ramos, in the midst of what's looking like it could be a legitimate breakout season, provided that spark. The Giants outfielder reached base all six times he came to the plate in the SF Giants' resounding 9-3 win.  The Giants needed a win like a fish needs water. They were slipping in the standings, dropping like flies, and playing an ugly brand of baseball. But Ramos and a team-wide offensive outburst finally got the Giants back on track. Austin Slater returned from the IL and started off a huge inning.  The SF Giants' performance as a whole this season is examined. It's been 63 games, which is enough of a sample size to draw some meaningful conclusions. One thing we know is that the Giants have endured a ton of injuries. The San Francisco Giants bats finally showed up in the desert as they smash three home runs on their way to a 9-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
