The Serious Fraud Office has flagged with the Government that millions of dollars of public money is potentially being misused. The chief executive of the SFO, Julie Read, says it's been estimated in the United Kingdom that up to five percent of government funding is subject to fraud. Ms Read believes that figure would be lower here, but still very significant.
