I just want to encourage all spouses and service members to give their unit SFRG a shot. If your unit doesn't have an active SFRG, perhaps consider starting one! 

A good SFRG leader is inclusive, positive and encourages communication! In the military unit, we don't have to all be "best friends", but we ARE a community. A community made up of unique personalities and strengths bound by the common thread of LOVE for our service member. The SFRG community should be a welcoming, open, and soft place for people to land after a PCS where they take comfort in knowing they aren't "alone" at any duty station or during any deployment. 

The military lifestyle is far from easy. But what's kept us around for 12 years now is, equal parts, the call to serve and the military community that's become our family.
