Shabbat 94 continues the discussion of the prohibition of carrying on Shabbat. In this case the question of moving a dead body is discussed, along with the important principle that, “human dignity is so important that it can suspend a prohibition of the Torah.”
Rabbi Steven Kane is the spiritual leader of Congregation Sons of Israel. Rabbi Kane was ordained at JTS and holds a Master’s Degree in Judaic Studies and a Bachelor of Hebrew Literature degree from the University of Judaism as well as a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
