Kirigan and his Grisha conduct a widespread search for his escaped Sun Summoner. Inej is forced to make difficult choices regarding her faith and her friends' safety. Alina and Mal have a tense reunion. Nina and Matthias have to work together to ensure their survival. Alina begins to realize the depth of Kirigan's deceit. Kirigan, Mal, and Alina all set their sights on the same goal.
