This week we interview Dr. Erica Matluck, a modern medicine woman who dances between science and spiritual in her practice called Seven Senses. She lets us in on her holistic approach in helping clients achieve balance in all aspects of wellness looking beyond medical or mental health diagnosis. Erica walks Kristen through some of her discomfort around what might sound like more “woo-woo” practices (things like meditation, breath, or body work) that could feel a little edgy for some of those who find comfort in more traditional western or mainstream approaches.
Erica teaches us the basics in Shadow Work and the importance in unearthing what is hidden in both our psyche, emotions, behaviors, and within the physical body. Each of us touch on a shadow story and how attending to our shadow self can lead to personal growth and breaking unhelpful patterns.
