The Democratic Alliance (DA) has explained its call for a review of the parole of convicted fraudster Schabir Shaik. The party's spokesperson on Correctional Services, James Selfe, says they have written to Justice Minister, Michael Masutha on the matter. Shaik was released from prison on medical parole after serving just over two years of his 15-year-sentence.
