Dogear's Shaken and Stirred episode #17 might just break your heart. David Grimm's "How Hurricane Katrina Turned Pets Into People" talks about the heartbreaking situations that befell New Orleans pets and owners when the storm forced some to leave their animals behind while fleeing. Something good did come out of the heartache though, with new laws changing how pets are regarded.
