Today on The 415ers, hosts Evan Giddings and Marc Grandi react to the first couple of days of the San Francisco 49ers' OTAs. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan said that this current quarterback room (featuring Brock Purdy, Trey Lance, Sam Darnold, and -- yes -- Brandon Allen) boasts the most talent he's ever had in the NFL. Is that true? Could it possibly be true if things go right?
Plus, the team seems to be at least somewhat hopeful that Brock Purdy will be ready to play and start in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's good news, right? The 49ers likely have no way of actually knowing at this point, but them just discussing Week 1 as a possibility should mean that Purdy's rehab process is going well.
Also, Trey Lance continues to say all of the right things. Should he be at all frustrated by how his career has started with the 49ers? If you were Lance, would you want out now? What about after this season if he doesn't play much aside from a potential mop up series or a fill-in start here or there? And would San Francisco be making a major mistake by not giving Lance a legitimate chance in regular season games this year?
