Shane has been working with Cork Simon Community for 11 years.Starting off as a full-time volunteer, then progressing to doing casual work on their relief panel,following this Shane ended up getting a permanent position. Shane is tasked with developing care plans, referrals to mental health and addiction services as well as access to housing for service users. It's also about having compassion towards users and being aware of past traumas that the users may have gone through.
