Having a lot of down time can present you with thoughts, frustrations and, even, feeling like what you are praying for is not going to happen. How are you waiting? Does how long you have to wait change your attitude about God's will and plan for your life?

Your first and ultimate connection is with God! Only God can determine if you are connected or disconnected. It is important to know when to follow and when not to follow because we are not perfect humans. A person who really loves you as their follower would tell you to have your very own relationship with God so that he can instruct and guide you even during the times he has assigned you to follow someone. If you have your own relationship with God, God will lead and instruct you. He will tell you when to follow, when to connect and when to disconnect. All connections should be God ordained! Obeying God's commandment to you personally which can look contradicting to man's order is not disconnection. Obedience is connection. Choose God's commandment over man's commandment. If God give you a personal command, then stay connected and be obedient. What man calls disconnection is sometime just disconnection from man and not God. Give me you God and everything else can wait!
