Guests: Jennifer Lin
JENNIFER LIN spent 37 years tracing her family’s history. Her great-great grandfather was a poor fisherman in China, who converted to Christianity in the mid-19th century. During Chairman Mao’s Cultural Revolution, her grandfather’s family was brutally persecuted for their Christian beliefs. Lin, a former reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer, comes in to talk about her family story and her new book Shanghai Faithful: Betrayal and Forgiveness in a Chinese Christian Family.
