Shannon is a certified Listening and Spoken Language Specialist, Auditory-Verbal Educator, presented by the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She received professional training and mentorship through Hearing First, LLC. She enjoys sharing her experiences and expertise with families and professionals, at local, national, and international speaking engagements, including the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention, AG Bell Global Listening and Spoken Language Virtual Symposium, and AVISA Cochlear Implants Educational Program from A to Z.

In this legacy episode, Shannon was employed as a speech-language pathologist at the DePaul School for Hearing and Speech in Pittsburgh, PA.
