funcionário is Pedro Tavares’ solo project, focused primarily in day-to-day experiences and interactions, not as a continuous narrative but as a whole. The power of sound as a bridge between memory and the imagination that interprets it. In this collage of different styles and approaches the focus is on the profound endoesthesia that falls upon the astute listener: work and grieving as the essence that leads to all the other sensations. funcionário explores this to the intimate core of the contemporary working society of stopwatch shifts.
funcionário is an act of the SHAPE+ platform for innovative music and interdisciplinary art, co-funded by the EU and Pro Helvetia.
