Our heroes nearly escape the headsman's axe, despite their best efforts. Arrested for various crimes, their serendipitous stay in the palace dungeons allowed them to (somewhat) save the day after a mysterious frenzy overtook the palace servants. Right place, right time. If they hadn't been so sloppy about it, they might even have been paid. Now they'll be performing community service. No good deed goes unpunished.
