Cenaiyda Carranza answered the call of service when she spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras.

Carranza has used that experience to transition into a Career Counselor in the Career Services Department at Sam Houston State University (SHSU).

Rebecca Grimes has performed works such as the Beautiful Bridegroom and Amahl and the Night Visitors with Worcester Opera Works.

Grimes co-founded Opera del West, a regional opera company in Boston, where she did works like Die Fledermaus, Hansel und Gretel and La Serva Padrona.

Mrs. Grimes shares her experiences with students as an assistant professor and Director of Opera Workshops at SHSU.
