Sharing in Relationship Responsibilities

Listen Later

How are you sharing relationship responsibilities with your mate?

In a previous episode, we discussed whether the traditional view of the woman’s duty to cook was biblical. Yet, the needs and responsibilities within a relationship go far and beyond just cooking. Who earns the money or manages the budget? Is it primarily one person’s duty to clean, or do laundry? What about cleaning the car, mowing the lawn, bathing the kids, or running errands? This list can go on, and on, but don’t make the mistake of assuming who will do what. There are many benefits of building a chore list, and sharing relationship responsibilities. Who does what in your relationship?

Communication is critical to the success of any relationship!

This is no different when it comes to building a chore list. A chore list isn’t something one person makes or does. Sharing responsibilities first starts with communicating the needs of the relationship. You want to talk about strengths and weakness each of you hold, and what sacrifice you are willing make.

In this podcast we will discuss sharing relationship responsibilities and offer tips to building a chore list. Having a chore list goes beyond just chores. It really shows that as a couple you are willing to share in the responsibilities of the relationship together, and maintain a healthy marriage in the process.
