I am called to share my story with the world, and there is something terrifying about naming myself for all to see. I find myself resisting and avoiding opportunities to share my authentic humanness with the world. 

For so much of my life I feared that I would need to defend myself if I were to show my true self. So in an unconscious effort to keep myself safe, I held myself back from self identifying, I stayed small and I let others define me.

But this is no longer possible. 

The time has come for me to step more fully into my authentic self, and to be seen. (easier said than done haha)

I was inspired by Hippolyta's "I Am" episode in Lovecraft Country. There is something very powerful about naming ourselves into existence. There is something very freeing about having space to be in our full power.

In an effort to be authentic and overcome my own fear of being seen, I am sharing this raw audio inspired by "I am who I say I am" that was recorded on my porch in New Orleans, LA on October 18, 2020.
