Sharing our Hearts and Lives with Dr. Joneal Kirby

Listen Later

Dr. Joneal Kirby is a wealth of knowledge in the world of marriage and family therapy, but her love for God and His Word is what really shines through in her everyday life. You will be blessed by this conversation of how sharing our hearts and lives leads to a greater satisfaction in our relationship with both God and others. Dr. Kirby also imparts her best practices regarding parenting. If you are in throes of raising children, or know someone who is, you will want to take notes from this enlightening episode.

Below are some of our favorite takeaways from today’s show:

⭐️ Titus 2 gives women a biblical outline of how to share our hearts and lives. When we are obedient to walk in our calling, then other women are motivated to mentor/be mentored by other women.

⭐️ Infertility is often a painful time for women that can bring doubts about God’s love for us. Finding counseling groups or other women who have been in similar situations can bring light to the darkness.

⭐️We can hold on to HOPE while waiting on God to fulfill His promises to us. He is in the waiting and He is faithful to give us the desires of our heart.

⭐️ Teach children while they are little to love and know God. God’s spirit is inside the children and we can learn from their eagerness to know Him.

⭐️ Ephesians 6:1 instructs children to obey their parents. When we teach our children this command, then it become easier for them to obey God as an adult.
