We are hardwired for connection. Whether it's with family, an intimate partnership, friendships, or colleagues at work, we want to connect.
Yet most of us aren't great at connecting. We don't know how to do it, and we've been trying to figure it out, yet still not quite understanding.
When it comes to sharing our stories, we need to do so with people who have earned the right to hear them. But we also need to do so with people who have the capacity to hear them.
The next time you share something with others, I invite you to consider; do they have capacity to listen? Do they have capacity to help and support you and give some suggestions?
Join me this week to discover the beauty of asking whether someone has the capacity to hear your story. Find out why it is vulnerable to ask somebody what their capacity is and how I learned the importance of this work.
Your voice matters! Make sure you subscribe to the show and leave a review in Apple Podcasts. Tell me what you love and why you’re here and maybe you’ll hear a shoutout to YOU in a future episode!
