In this episode Liliana Arias shares the joys and challenges of growing up in Columbia during the Columbian Internal Armed Conflict and how those experiences guided her after she met and married her husband, a Peace Corp volunteer, and moved to the United States. She also explores how she deals with prejudice and discrimination in new ways as she seeks to create change by starting first within herself.

Liliana’s artwork is inspired by her time growing up in Columbia and her return visits to spend time with friends and family.
