A2D is happy to welcome former WNBA and international basketball player Sharnee Zoll-Norman to the show. We’ll talk to Sharnee about her early years as a top nationally ranked high school basketball star in high school and the recruiting process that landed her at the University of Virginia for her college basketball career, where she broke basketball legend Dawn Staley’s Atlantic Coast Conference assist record. We discuss being drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks in 2008, her experience playing in the WNBA and her transition to playing internationally in Turkey and Poland, where she excelled as one of the top players in the league, was a 7x Polish League Medal recipient and 2x Polish League Champion. Now retired, Sharnee was named assistant coach at the University of Rhode Island. We’ll discuss the transition from player to coach, and what her goals and aspirations are post-retirement.
