Sharon Glassman is a podcasting novelist. She arranged her book Blame it on Hoboken into episodes that have been performed live, complete with wine pairings, for audiences in a variety of venues. When she moved to Boulder she began writing songs for each episode and started The Lazy Persons Book Club, a podcast and performance series, as a new way for audiences to experience the novel.
I give him the manuscript. He gives me two pieces of paper. One says, your apartment lease is up for renewal in two months. The other one says, your office lease is up for renewal in two months. I looked at my dog and said, 'Life is short. America is big. It's time to move'.
In this first-ever live episode we also discussed Sharon's move to Boulder, introverts, and some of the themes running throughout this podcast since the first episode in January 2016.
For those in the Boulder area, be sure to check Sharon's website for upcoming live performances of the Lazy Persons Book Club as well as her band the Jamesons Duo, "classic and original Americana with a sunny bluegrass twist".
