In a highly politicized and polarized culture, listening well may be one of the most important skills Christians can develop. Calvary's Shaun LePage invited Pastor Neil Tomba, author of The Listening Road: One Man's Ride Across America to Start Conversations about God, to discuss the fine (and perhaps dying) art of listening well.
Tomba, the Senior Pastor of Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, Texas, noticed that the people in his church were finding it increasingly difficult to speak about God to those outside the church. So, in 2019 he decided to set an example for his congregation and bike across the United States (yes, the entire United States) and just listen to strangers from all walks of life. In the process, Tomba shows us how to turn our curiosity about and love for people into real and substantive conversations.
