Shavuot commemorates the giving of the Torah and the making of the covenant between God and Israel. Shavuot, also known as the Feast of Weeks includes the day of proclamation, when God made the proclamation of his commandments and the people proclaimed the gospel to the nations. We are encouraged to participate in a mikveh and proclaim our faith in God on this day.
