Shawn was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at a young age and endured multiple operations while trying to live a “normal” childhood. Along with the physical struggles came a deep sense of shame and isolation. But with his mother’s unwavering determination to find solutions, and his grandfather’s steady example of perseverance, Shawn found a way forward.
