Shazam on Steroids. Going Deeper into Music with Deepr’s Austin Webster

Listen Later

Who wrote that song? What’s that sample? When music went digital, listeners lost the liner notes along with the ability to easily discover the musicians and other individuals who made it. Enter the Deepr music app. Known as ‘Shazam on steroids’, Deepr uses audio recognition and manual search inputs to identify who was involved in making that music. The app shares interactive data behind the music: songwriters, producers, featured artists, background singers, samples, and more. Listeners can click on any of the creators’ names and direct Deepr to generate a playlist based on their selections. Love that drummer? Make a playlist of that drummer’s body of work. Apple Music, Spotify Premium, and YouTube users can sync their accounts with the Deepr interface.

Taking us through the tech behind Deepr is Austin Webster, founder and CEO, who joins us from Atlanta Georgia. Austin explains the benefits of this technology to artists, rights holders and listeners.  Learn more and download the app at Deeprmusic.com and follow Deepr on Insta: @Deeprmusic, and Twitter: @Deeprmusicapp.
