I’m Nick Tann – musician, songwriter, and your guide to the best new music you haven’t heard yet.

As per usual, I threw all I could find about the artists into Chatgpt and it came up with this….

It’s just me flying solo this time, listening live and sharing some seriously fresh tunes.

She 1 Him 2 – Moving Parts

We’re kicking things off with the ’80s-inspired, synth-driven Moving Parts by She 1 Him 2, all the way from Cleveland, Ohio. It suddenly hit me—they’re our first American artists in a while! We used to feature loads… maybe Trump scared them off?

Anyway, the track’s got a big retro vibe, and the video is absolutely bonkers—but worth watching! You’ll find them all over social media, but here are two links I thought you’d enjoy:

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

Star Wheel Press – Low Sun Drive

Next up, we go north to Scotland for Star Wheel Press, who dropped the instantly lovable Low Sun Drive. I chat a bit more about them in the episode—don’t miss it.

I didn’t get any links from Craig (I think he’s from the band?), but I tracked down their new album on Bandcamp. It’s only £7 and well worth picking up. Here’s where to look:

    • Facebook

Soft Cotton County – Blue on Blue

Soft Cotton County glides in beautifully with Blue on Blue. I actually prefer this one to their last track we featured—Coward of the Country Fair. What do you reckon?

Their website is packed with goodies, including a gorgeous vinyl version of this track. Go have a snoop and see what they’re all about:

        Pomona – Saga

To wrap things up, we’ve got Pomona, possibly Manchester’s best punk art band, with their super-tight, groovy track Saga. I absolutely loved this one—especially the little Easter egg at the end (you’ll know it when you hear it).

They sent over a whole truckload of links, but I particularly liked their Instagram:
