Can we talk about this whole booked and busy culture for a minute?
Somewhere along the way, being busy became something we’re supposed to be proud of. And listen, I’m guilty of it too! But just because our calendars are full doesn’t necessarily mean we’re making progress.
In this episode of She Builds in Stillness, we’re talking about the pressure to always be doing something, especially when social media makes it seem like everybody is working, launching, and accomplishing something every five minutes.
I’m also sharing a funny (and slightly embarrassing) lesson from building Wellbeing Onsite. Let’s just say I spent entirely too much time perfecting Instagram posts that got two likes. And yes, one of them was mine! 😅
We’ll get into how I started shifting my attention toward work that actually moves my business forward, and how a couple of concepts from my project management background can help us spend less time chasing perfection.
In this episode, we’re talking about:
* Why busy culture makes us feel like we always need to be doing more
* The difference between looking productive and actually making progress
* How perfectionism can keep us working on something longer than necessary
* What Definition of Done and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) mean, and how we can apply those ideas beyond project management
* Why our time and energy deserve just as much consideration as our money
Your Progress Check
Before you fill up another week with tasks, take a few minutes to ask yourself:
* What’s the goal?
* What does done look like?
* Is this the best use of my time?
Because sometimes the smartest thing you can do isn’t add something else to your to-do list. It’s figure out what matters, get it done, and go enjoy the rest of your day.
Let’s keep the conversation going
What were your goals for the week? And did the things you spent your time on actually help you move toward them?
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

What if the life you’re working so hard to build is also a life you rarely get to enjoy?
It’s easy to get caught up in the next goal, the next opportunity, or the next thing on your to-do list. We tell ourselves we’ll slow down when the work is done, when things settle, or when we finally reach the milestone we’ve been working toward.
But what happens when there’s always something else to do?
Building a business, pursuing your goals, and creating a life that feels meaningful shouldn’t mean putting your own wellbeing on hold.
In this episode of She Builds in Stillness, we’re making space for an honest question: Are you building a life you actually get to enjoy along the way?
This is an invitation to pause, check in with yourself, and think about what success means to you beyond what you accomplish.
Because the life you’re building isn’t just something waiting for you in the future. It’s the life you’re living right now.A moment to reflect
* Have you been so focused on what’s next that you’ve forgotten to enjoy where you are?
* What would it look like to make more room for rest, connection, and the things that bring you joy?
* Is the way you’re building your life sustainable for the person you are today?
You don’t have to have all the answers. Sometimes, making space for the right question is a meaningful place to begin.

Sharing my story on how I started into the wellness space. Believe it or not, hair was a motivator!
What began as a search for a low-impact workout eventually led me to yoga teacher training, entrepreneurship, and creating spaces where women could connect, grow, and feel seen.
In this episode, I’m sharing the story behind She Builds in Stillness, including how yoga supported me through grief, why I created Wellbeing Onsite, and how conversations with fellow yoga teachers during COVID inspired something bigger.
We also get into why I believe you can be ambitious, build meaningful things, and still make room for your own wellbeing along the way.
In this episode, we’re talking about:
* How I discovered yoga and why I became a teacher.
* Building my yoga business with flexibility and wellbeing in mind.
* How a weekly Clubhouse conversation inspired a community beyond the wellness industry.
* What She Builds in Stillness means to me.
* Why travel, retreats, and sisterhood are part of the experience.
