On this episode, I talk with Heidy Tejeda. Heidy is the owner and operator of Pilates Unleashed Studio located in Eastchester, New York. She is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor. Heidy studied at the renowned Jivamutki Yoga Center and was trained in the Stott Pilates method.

On this episode, I talk with LaSonya Alexander. LaSonya is a divorced mother of 7 children she raises independently. After a period of sudden job loss and homelessness following a family crisis, LaSonya fought to return her family to a place of stability and joy. She went on to become winner of the 2017-2018 Ms. Illinois American Elegance pageant.

LaSonya has written her first book, a memoir, and looks forward to its publication.

Terri talks with Licensed Clinical Social Worker Khadijah Washington about mental health, family trauma, and single-parenthood. Khadijah is a behavioral health consultant, and serves as a Social Work Mentor at Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia Union University. She serves on the Executive Board and is the Mentoring Chair for the Richmond Association of Black Social Workers, and a co-facilitator for City Builders.
