Sheela Niminshakavi is known for helping nonprofits increase their capacity by utilizing her operational skills and her passion for creating socially just and inclusive communities. She spent several years in the nonprofit sector including as Director of Operations of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, before launching ThirdSuite, a consulting firm that offers nonprofit administrative services and trainings to help organizations increase their capacity and further their mission.

By offering grant writing, bookkeeping, database management, as well as training in all aspects of administration, ThirdSuite helps nonprofits increase their capacity and allows staff to focus on the important work of furthering the organization’s mission.

Sheela contributes to the nonprofit field as a writer for The Nonprofit Quarterly, serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Virginia Grant Professionals Association and the Advisory Board for Empowering People for Inclusive Communities, and hosts a weekly podcast called the Nonprofit Confidential.
