Anyone who has ever watched Star Trek, Star Wars, or just about any other sci-fi fantasy universe will know of shield technology, and possibly also something they call a containment field. Be it shields or fields, these bubbles of energy repel attacks and keep their occupants safe and secure within. So what's the problem? They seem quite a useful ability to have.
