A daily audio journal for the month of June as I hyper optimize myself to be my best version in this season of my life.
Dive right in if you need a friend to process this bittersweet ending to #HomeCha
From what makes #HomeCha so special, how we got into K-drama in the first place, what we liked and didn’t like about the show, other recommendable K-dramas, celebrity culture in Korea, Kim Seon-ho’s controversy and his possible comeback from cancellation if he rebrands and moves to the Philippines.
LOL. Just kidding.
This episode is for the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha fans that need to process the show’s ups and downs, including the most recent controversy about Kim Seon-ho.
Joining me on this episode as my very special first guest is VJ Ai dela Cruz of MYX. She shares with us her insights and perspective on the issue as a showbiz insider, and a fellow Kim Seon-ho and K-drama fan.
Technically, nag-chikahan lang kami for an hour kasi wala kaming ibang makausap about the topic and there’s just so much to discuss and process.
P.S. My mic could be better, I can hear it too.
How do you get through the days when everything sucks? How can you find something to look forward to when everything's uncertain?
Best to listen when you're alone, winding down for the end of the day, with ample time to reflect.
On this episode, I talk about that feeling of being stuck where you are which can be so easily resolved by talking to someone you can unravel your thoughts to.
It's a simple concept that was so well fleshed out in Jordan Peterson's book called Beyond Order, which I'll share an excerpt of. I talk about the where I am lately, and how important it is to talk and find people you can talk to, the difficulties I've personally encountered because of the pandemic, and examples of how miscommunication can ruin a marriage using the show Sex Life from Netflix as an example, and how strong I know my relationship is because of a foundation of good communication which we've built even before we got together.
P.S. I recorded this at around 3AM so my voice is a little different for this episode.
I've been learning a bunch of things ever since I started Tiktok, engaging on Instagram, and creating content. Today, I'll talk about the benefits of having an online presence - not the PR packages mind you, nor for the influencer status but about how to turn your chosen platform into something fun, creative and one of the best ways to make new friends on the internet.
Listen to find out - it's literally just 30 seconds.
