Shelly "Treasure" Hilliard was a 19 year old trans woman who was murdered by a drug dealer in Detroit in 2011, after police coerced and leaked her name as a witness to her would be killer. The case was the subject of a documentary "Treasure: From Tragedy to Trans Justice.
