Shelly would also eventually invite two of her friends and her nephew to move in with her under the guise of helping them through a difficult period of their lives. She would implement abusive punishments to her daughters, nephew, and friends, which became more and more severe over time. Shelly’s reign of terror extended more than 2 decades, and left several dead in its wake.
