Why the dietary laws? Is eating “kosher” a salvation issue? We are living tabernacles and must guard ourselves to remain tamai (clean). The teachings of Messiah Yeshua are in congruence with the Torah when we understand the meaning of “food” and apply them in that context. Non-Kosher “food” stops up a person’s heart and soul, and when a person eats that which God has said is not food, he swallows an unclean spirit which then defiles his soul. All three of the portions of scripture today come together nicely to support the message from or Master, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This week our Haftorah teaching is delivered by Ro'eh Richard from 2 Samuel 6:1-7:17, and the New Covenant E-drash is delivered by Brother Mark from Mark 7:1-23.We hope and pray that you find blessing in our teachings. We ask that you please join us each week as we dig deep into scripture to learn more about the God of Israel, and reveal the Messiah throughout the Old Testament.Pastor Richard CortesThe Foundation of The Word Outreach Ministrieswww.thefoundationoftheword.org
