恭讀聖瑪竇福音 9:32-38
那時候，有人給耶穌送來一個附魔的啞巴。魔鬼一被趕出去，啞巴就說出話來。群眾驚奇說：「在以色列從未出現過這樣的事情。」但法利塞人卻說：「他是仗賴魔王驅魔。」
耶穌週遊各城各村，在他們的會堂內施教，宣講天國的福音，治好一切疾病，一切災殃。他一見到群眾，就對他們動了慈心，因為他們困苦流離，像沒有牧人的羊，於是對自己的門徒說：「莊稼固多，工人卻少，所以你們應當求莊稼的主人派遣工人，來收他的莊稼。」

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 9:32-38
A demoniac who could not speak was brought to Jesus, and when the demon was driven out the mute man spoke. The crowds were amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” But the Pharisees said, “He drives out demons by the prince of demons.”
Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”
