We're told the gods from ancient pantheons were just myth. A simple way for simple people to explain the world around them. But what if they were literal, possibly fallen angels or nephilim who would teach and go on to rule mankind. It would make sense some stories may be embellished or straight up false. However it truly does seem as if some of these "gods" are the same entities, with their stories merely being told by different peoples.
