Excellent, except...
I love Sherlock Holmes and all of the stories. I adore Simon Vance as the performer. I have only two issues with this particular Sherlock Holmes series: first, the photo of the BBC TV show Sherlock on the cover is misleading. For whatever reason, you cant listen to a sample even now in November, because the sample states that its unable to let you listen before the book release in March 2017. It is now November 2017; still no sample. Back to why its misleading: the photo implies that its going to have anything to do with the BBC TV show, but it does not. It is my favorite performer, Simon Vance, narrating the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes stories. The only problem with this is the other issue: if you have already purchased all of the Sherlock Holmes books then this is a duplicate. It is not the complete works, but a compilation of the original stories. Its not the books fault, its not the storys fault, its not the performers fault. If I had to blame anything: it would only be the fact that you cant listen to a sample to know what youre really getting, and any other sherlockian picture should have been used if this wasnt a performance of the bbc Sherlock.
Excellent
A interesting and exciting collection of Holme's stories read well by one of the modern Sherlock TV drama series creator's with introductions to each story and why they are in the collection..
Reader sounded too fast
I love all Sherlock Holmes stories but for some reason, even though I played this at X1 the reader sounded slightly too fast to me and it spoilt my enjoyment. It has a slightly electronic feel about the voice. I love the Mark Gatiss introductions though. It's a shame he didn't read the stories!
Sherlock still Amazes
Really enjoyed the whole experience.
Having Mark Gatiss introduce each story certainly made it more entertaining due to his love of the works.
Narrator was also very good.
