Welcome to Raven's Readings. I'm reading from The Sign of the Four, written by Arthur Conan Doyle in 1890. This novel features his character, Sherlock Holmes, a detective who excels in observation, deduction, logic, and forensics. Assisting Holmes is Doctor John Watson. The Sherlock stories are narratives written from the POV of Watson, as he attempts to record and publicize Sherlock's work. This novel is the second in the series.

This final chapter is quite long, so I had paused midway, in the midst of Jonathan small's story. He and his confederates had the treasure, and marvelled at the riches in jewels. We still need to hear how the treasure chest finally got to England..
