In this episode, Chicago Historian Shermann Dilla Thomas shared a lot of information about the city and himself. Starting things off He spoke about working for ComEd and how the company appreciates his content. Dilla also enlighten us on how his father who was a Chicago Police Officer was hand-selected to be security for Chicago's first Black Mayor Harold Washington, and how his father helped with keeping him opening-minded when it came down to learning history lessons. We also touched on his viral Tik Tok videos that landed him an upcoming documentary for Netflix, as well as The Mahogany Tour which allows him to take tourists/residents around Chicago neighborhoods to learn more about the city's history.
