Once upon a time you understood how intimately connected you were to the world around you.

You understood that you were part of it, not separate from it.

You understood that everything was connected, the oceans, the forests, the air, all one energy continuously flowing.

Then we began to use words and labels.

Our rational brain wanted to make sense of what it experienced.

This was our first separation, as things became ‘other’.
