The founding of Israel in 1948 has become a major, theological focal point for millions of American evangelical Christians. In 2001 We Hold These Truths founder, Chuck Carlson, had an ongoing dialog with a “Judaeo-Christian” (who would now be called a “Christian Zionist”) named Sherry that resulted in a six-part series that can be read at “Sherry’s War: A Second Look“. Chuck and Craig Hanson discuss what made Sherry believe that the modern state of Israel is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy and think the way she did.
